April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, where we recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention services and support developed by our collaborative partners helps in protecting children and strengthening families.

Currently, Hancock County has 15 children in foster care.  Each pinwheel planted represents each child that is in foster care.  Today’s program was sponsored by Georgia Division of Family and Children Services of Hancock County and Family Connection-Communities in Schools of Hancock County, Inc.

We wear the color blue for those children in foster care.
