Who said summer had to be boring? Each year an average of 100 youth participate in Summer Camp activities held at the Youth Opportunity Center in Sparta and at the Mayfield Community Center. Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Hancock County, Inc. partner with local organizations to implement 6-weeks of educational and recreational activities for youth ages 4-16.
The 2014 Summer Camp is being sponsored by the Hancock County Commissioners, the Hancock County Board of Education and the Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Hancock, Inc. This year’s camp is also providing a unique opportunity for local in-school youth and 1st year college youth to serve as camp counselors.
